My kitchen floor leveling took 6 weeks instead of 2 days
Everyone talks about self-leveling compound like it's magic. I tried patching a 4x4 foot low spot in my kitchen and ended up doing 7 pours over a month and a half because each batch cracked or didn't flow right. Has anyone else had self-leveler just refuse to level?

Dude that sounds like an absolute nightmare. Self-leveler is way more finicky than people make it out to be, especially if your subfloor isn't perfectly clean or the temp's off a bit. I feel your pain, that must have been super frustrating to keep going back and pouring again.

@benb21 For real lol, I tried self-leveler once and swore it off forever. Too much can go wrong. Give me a good old plywood patch any day.
