Shoutout to the plumber who told me my PVC primer was the wrong color
I'd been using clear primer on all my PVC joints for three years, thinking it looked cleaner. A plumber walked by my job site in Denver and said 'that purple stuff isn't optional, it shows inspectors you actually primed.' Changed to purple primer that week and passed inspection first try on a full bathroom rough-in. Has anyone else gotten called out on a minor detail that saved them a bigger headache later?

Man that's a solid tip right there. Nothing worse than failing an inspection over something small like primer color after all that hard work. Glad you got it sorted before it became a real headache.

Did you have to sand it all down to fix it or just paint over with the right shade?
