Old timer at a blueprint shop taught me the magic of the 0.5mm clutch pencil

Guy named Frank at a drafting supply store in downtown Chicago stopped me from buying a whole new set of lead holders. He said, 'Stop digging for lead, just twist the cap and keep going.' Has anyone else had an older drafter save them money on supplies?
