Pro tip: A guy at the Milwaukee tool show told me to always double-check my decimal points before sending a file to the laser cutter.

Absolutely true. I once sent a file with a misplaced decimal and cut a part ten times bigger than it should have been. Wasted a whole sheet of expensive material because of one tiny dot. The machine will just do what you tell it, even if the number is nonsense. Now I zoom way in on the dimensions and read them out loud before hitting send.
