That day my scale was off by 1/8 inch and cost me a full redo

Last Tuesday I was laying out floor plans for a commercial build in Portland and didn't double check my scale after swapping rolls. I drew an entire wall 1/8 inch short on the print because the scale had shifted during a coffee spill cleanup. The framers caught it before they cut, but I had to redo 3 sheets of drawings and lost a whole afternoon. My supervisor pulled me aside and said, "Luna, this is why we calibrate every morning, not just when you think about it." Now I check my scales like a paranoid person every time I pick up a new roll. Has anyone else gotten burned by a lazy tool check that snowballed into a nightmare?

Hmm, I kinda see it differently... yeah, a scale check would've caught it, but that coffee spill is what really messed things up. Maybe the real lesson is keeping drinks far away from your work area in the first place.

Spills and mistakes always sneak up when you least expect them, kind of like life's way of testing your setup.
