Crying" is putting it nicely, I think that bead is straight up sobbing under there. I've seen that exact sad little corner situation where you think you're done and the tape is just like "nope, not today pal." It's always in a high traffic spot too, never in the back of a closet where nobody will ever look. Your mileage may vary but I've learned the hard way that skipping that second coat is like leaving a party five minutes before the food comes out.
