Can we talk about how my nephew's comment on my old mud pan made me feel ancient

He was helping me on a Reno job last week, pointed at my old 14-inch steel pan, and said 'you still use that dinosaur thing' which made me realize I've been using the same tools since before he was born, so what's the oldest piece of gear you guys still swear by?

Used to think old tools were junk until my dad's rusty level saved a whole project.

Before he was born" is the part that got me. So what? My dad's tape measure is older than me and it works fine. It's a tool, not a museum piece. If it gets the job done, who cares if it looks old? Feeling ancient over a mud pan seems like looking for a reason to feel old.
