Finally caved and bought a drywall lift... worth every penny

Been hanging board by myself for 10 years and always swore I didn't need one. Picked up a rental from Home Depot for $45 a day on a 12-foot ceiling job in an old church basement. After fighting with two sheets in a row I went and bought the cheap $150 one from Harbor Freight that afternoon. Has anyone else found a good trick for keeping the clamps from slipping on vaulted ceilings?

My neighbor’s teenage son started using them to fix his own bike. Kid saved like $200 in shop fees.
