Vent: A client in Boise wanted a smooth finish on a popcorn ceiling patch

The texture just would not match, no matter how I mixed the mud. I ended up using a small paint roller to dab on the final coat, and it blended perfectly. Anyone have a better method for matching that old-school popcorn?

Tell me about it. I've been there more times than I can count. It really does suck.
