Wasted $200 on a 'self-leveling' laser that couldn't handle a simple ceiling job

It drifted a quarter inch over ten feet, so I had to redo all my layout lines. What's a solid brand you guys actually trust for overhead work?

Man, that's a total gut punch. A quarter inch drift on a ceiling is a huge deal and makes the whole tool useless. I'd be furious too after shelling out that much cash. It's the worst feeling when a tool you count on just fails at its one job. For overhead stuff, you really need something that holds its line no matter what.
