Figured out I was spending 20 minutes chopping onions every time - a slap chop saved me 15 minutes per dinner

I timed it one night and realized I was losing almost half my prep time just dicing onions, so I grabbed one of those cheap hand choppers for $12 and now I'm done in under 5 minutes - anyone else ever find a simple tool that cut their cooking time way more than they expected?

A silicone lid instead of plastic wrap has been a game changer I didn't see coming. You can press it right over a half-used onion or a bowl of prep and it seals way better than that flimsy wrap that never stays. Plus you can just toss it in the dishwasher after, no fighting with sticky plastic.

Washable lids are the real MVP... plastic wrap is basically useless once it touches itself.
