Swapped jarred sauce for a 15 minute homemade one last night and wow

I always used Prego on busy nights because I thought homemade would take forever. Last night I just crushed a can of San Marzano tomatoes with some garlic and basil from my windowsill and it was done in 15 minutes while the pasta boiled. Has anyone else been sleeping on super quick homemade sauces?
