Chasing a ground fault for 4 days, it was a cracked solder joint all along

Had a power supply come in last Tuesday that kept tripping the breaker under load. I checked caps, diodes, the transformer, even swapped the main IC before I finally took a magnifier to the board and saw a hairline crack around a solder pad. Took me 4 evenings to find something that took 10 minutes to fix. Anyone else ever spend hours on a fault that ends up being mechanical, not electrical?
