PSA: That $40 smart plug I bought off Amazon burned out in 2 months flat

Picked up a 4-pack of some no-name wifi plugs for like $40 back in September thinking I was being smart automating my living room lights. Well two of them stopped connecting after 6 weeks and one literally started making a buzzing noise that freaked my dog out. Anyone else had cheap smart home stuff die on them that fast or did I just pick the worst brand?

Did you try resetting them before assuming they're dead?
