The way I used to burn CDs for car trips versus just plugging in my phone now
I was cleaning out my glove box the other day and found a stack of old burned CDs from like 2010. It got me thinking about how much the daily commute has changed for me. Back then I had to spend an hour every Sunday making playlists on my laptop, burning them at the slowest speed so they wouldn't skip, and labeling each one with a Sharpie. Now I just hop in my car, plug in my phone, and pick whatever I want from Spotify. No more fumbling with jewel cases or having a CD get stuck in the player on a hot day. The biggest difference really was just getting a car with Bluetooth around 2016, but even the cheap aux cord adapter I had before that was a huge upgrade. Anyone else still have their old CD binders sitting around collecting dust?

And the sharpie smell... I miss that for some reason.

Wait, really? I mean it's just a marker smell. People act like it's some kind of lost memory or something but it's really just chemicals. You can buy a pack of them at any store for a few bucks if you really want to smell it that bad. Seems like a weird thing to get nostalgic about honestly.
