I keep seeing designers treat pockets like an afterthought on women's pants

A client brought me a $200 pair of trousers last week where the pocket bag was just a tiny square of cheap lining fabric. Good design means pockets you can actually use, not just a fake flap. Anyone else tired of this?

Notice how this happens with everything made for women. The pockets are just the obvious example. Phone batteries that die faster, tools that are harder to grip, car safety features tested on male-shaped dummies. It's not a small design flaw, it's a pattern of treating women's needs as less important. That two hundred dollar pair of pants is a perfect symbol of the whole problem.

Okay, but "tired of this" feels a bit strong for a pocket problem.
