PSA: My jacket design went from flat to amazing after I swapped the standard zipper for a 2-inch brass one from a vintage shop.
The heavy metal teeth and larger pull completely changed the garment's weight and feel, making it the focal point instead of just a closure, so has anyone else had a simple hardware swap totally upgrade a piece?

Totally get that. It's like the whole piece gets a new personality. I swapped out the cheap plastic buttons on an old denim shirt for some mismatched mother of pearl ones. Went from looking like a gas station uniform to something with actual character. The light hits them different, you know? Makes you notice the whole shirt.

My buddy Leo found these weird ceramic drawer pulls at a salvage yard and put them on his boring dresser. The whole thing looks like some kind of ancient artifact now, way cooler than it has any right to be. It’s wild how one odd piece of hardware can rewrite a whole object’s story.
