The silk for my bridesmaid dress order tore right down the middle during a fitting.
It happened Tuesday afternoon while adjusting the bias cut on the mannequin. Has anyone salvaged a high-end fabric like this, or is it a total loss now?

Take it to a specialist tailor immediately.

A specialist tailor? For a t-shirt with a tiny hole in the seam? That seems like overkill. I'd just get a needle and thread and fix it myself in five minutes. It's a basic repair, not a custom suit fitting. Spending that kind of money on a simple fix doesn't make sense to me.
