Bought a $50 bread machine off Facebook Marketplace and it paid for itself in 3 weeks

I was spending like $5 a loaf at the bakery and after 20 loaves the machine basically covered its cost, plus my kitchen smells amazing now. Has anyone else found random kitchen gadgets that actually saved you money long term?

Instant pot is probably the biggest money saver for me. Bought one on sale for like $60 and it cuts cooking time way down so I actually use dry beans from the bulk bin instead of canned. That alone saves a ton. Plus making yogurt from scratch with it costs a fraction of store bought. Just need to plan ahead a little.

You're spot on @the_emma, the bulk bean thing alone pays for the thing so fast. My own habit is making a big batch of chickpeas on Sunday for salads all week, way cheaper than canned and they taste better too. That yogurt trick is solid too, my wife went crazy with it for a while until the starter got forgotten in the back of the fridge. Even just using it for rice frees up a burner, which lets me do a quicker weeknight meal overall. Definitely a tool that pays off if you just remember to start it an hour earlier.
