Remember when you could just call the bank for a simple transfer?

Tried to roll over an old 401k from my job in Phoenix last month. The paperwork got lost twice. Took six weeks and three different phone calls to finally get it done. Anyone else hit a wall with retirement account stuff lately?

Security shouldn't mean losing paperwork twice.

Six weeks is frustrating but not a disaster for a retirement transfer. These things are slow by design for security. I've seen worse with probate and estate paperwork.
