Not a fan of those new glue-less click LVP planks
I had a job last month in a basement in Nashville where the homeowner insisted on using that new glue-less click LVP. I told them I thought it was a bad idea for a basement with humidity swings but they wanted to save on labor costs. Three weeks later I get a call saying the planks are separating at the seams and the floor looks wavy. I went back to check and sure enough the locking mechanism had buckled in two spots near the sump pump area. I ended up having to pull the whole thing up and install a standard glue-down LVP with a proper vapor barrier. The homeowner was ticked about the extra cost but I think they learned their lesson. Has anyone else had these glue-less systems fail on them in basements?

My buddy's kitchen in Chattanooga had the same issue like four months ago. The floor looked great for about two weeks and then just started popping apart near the fridge area where the humidity must've been worse. I tried telling him but he went cheap too.
