The day our core box decided to give up mid-pour
We were running a big job for a tractor housing in Sandusky, and the damn thing split open right as the iron hit it. Had to shut the line down for forty minutes while we cleaned up the spill and re-rigged a spare. Anyone have a good source for heavy-duty core boxes that can take the heat?

Split open mid-pour? That's a full-on nightmare. Sandusky's a long run for a failure like that. Forty minutes of downtime on a big job kills your whole rhythm. Can't believe the box didn't just crack, but fully gave way. Hope you find a tougher supplier, that's brutal.

Reminds me of a time @stone.simon watched a pallet of mix slide right off a forklift, total loss. You ever see a pour go that wrong before?
