I finally found a way to make my smartwatch battery last a full 48 hours

I was so frustrated that my watch needed a charge every single night. I tried turning off the always-on display and lowering the brightness, but it only gave me an extra few hours. Then I read a review for a different model that mentioned turning off the automatic workout detection. I turned that feature off on my own watch last Tuesday, and it's been a total game changer. I'm ending my second day with 20% left. Has anyone else found a specific setting that made a huge difference like this?

Oh man, turning off the automatic workout detection was a lifesaver for me too. That and killing the constant heart rate checks (I set it to every 10 minutes instead) basically doubled my battery life.

My old Garmin used to die by lunch if I left everything on. Went from charging every night to every three days just by turning off the pulse ox. That constant monitoring is such a drain. Your ten minute heart rate check is a smart move. I might try that next.
