I thought those 'smart' light bulbs were just a dumb gimmick...

My friend gave me one for my birthday last month, and I only tried it to be nice. I set it up in a lamp in my living room, and now I use my phone to turn it off from bed every single night. It sounds small, but not having to get up is weirdly great. Has anyone else had a gadget they thought was pointless turn out to be really handy?

My old roommate got a robot vacuum and I laughed at it for weeks. Now I own one and it runs every Tuesday and Friday. The real win is never having to sweep up that gritty layer of dust by the front door. It's the small daily annoyances these things fix that add up.

What's the best spot to put the charging dock, @anna_singh? I had mine in a corner and it kept getting stuck, but moving it to a more open wall fixed everything.
