Pro tip: I switched from a standard drill to a right-angle drill for tight attic spaces and it saved my back

I was working on a house in Springfield last week, crawling through a low attic to run a new line. I used my regular drill to drive a hole through a top plate and it was a real fight, taking almost 15 minutes of awkward angles. The next day, I borrowed a buddy's right-angle drill for a similar job. I made the same hole in under two minutes without straining my wrist. The compact head just fits where a normal drill can't. Has anyone found a specific brand or model of right-angle drill that holds up well to daily use?

I saw a bookbinder in Portland using a hair dryer to set paste and it blew my mind

I was at the Portland Zine Fest last month watching this binder work on a small edition. She had a cheap Conair dryer on low heat, about six inches from the spine, moving it constantly. She said it cuts paste drying time in half without warping the paper, which was a huge problem for me with my last project. I tried it on a test signature yesterday and it worked perfectly. Has anyone else used a hair dryer for this, or is there a better trick?

Gear storage debate: Dedicated room vs. simple bins for hiking prep

Some hikers I know dedicate an entire room to sorting gear by season and activity. They say it makes packing faster and keeps things from getting misplaced. I prefer a more laid-back approach with everything in one labeled tote. Which method do you think is better for casual weekend trails?
