That one comment about my headphone reviews felt like a gut punch
A guy on r/headphones told me I was 'just parroting frequency response graphs' and not actually listening to the gear. It stung because he was right, I had been leaning too hard on measurements instead of describing what I heard. Has anyone else had a reader call them out in a way that genuinely improved how you approach testing stuff?

Jumped in here because I been there too. Getting called out like that is rough but its the best thing that can happen if you take it right. I used to lean way too hard on numbers and specs before that comment hit me. It forced me to actually sit down and listen to what I was reviewing instead of just reading a graph. Now I start every test session with no measurements at all, just my ears and a notepad. Makes a huge difference when you write the review after that.
