That robot vacuum review needed a full month to be worth reading

Honestly, all the launch day stuff just covered basic features and noise levels. I waited for a guy who used it with two cats and a sandy patio door for thirty days straight. Tbh, his notes on filter clogging and corner cleaning were the real deal. Now I ignore any gadget review that wraps up in a week.

The filter thing is important, but you can spot a lot of major flaws right away. A good one-week review should tear apart the corner cleaning and see if it actually picks up the sand on day one. If it fails those basic tests instantly, the long-term stuff doesn't even matter.

Wait, it lasted a whole month with a sandy patio door? That's insane, I would've guessed the thing choked on sand after like three days. My old vacuum would've died a dusty death. That guy finding out the filter needs cleaning twice a week is the only reason I'd buy it, or know to avoid it. You really can't learn that from someone just unboxing it.

My cousin's place in Daytona Beach has this outdoor fan that gets clogged with sand every summer. We learned the hard way that you have to clean the blades weekly or it overheats. Reminds me of what @kelly.robin said about filter cleaning twice a week. Stuff like that never shows up in the manual, you only find out through use. Makes me wonder what other appliances have hidden needs like that.
