Shoutout to the guy at the hardware store who told me to paint the floor first
I was redoing my garage in Akron and planned to do the walls before the floor. The paint guy said to do the floor epoxy first, which seemed backwards. I did it his way last month, and it saved me from dripping wall paint all over the new floor. It also let the floor cure fully while I worked on everything else. Anyone else have a weird order tip that actually worked out?

Wait, did you actually try that? Because it doesn't work like that in practice. I tried it last week and it caused a bigger mess. The idea sounds good on paper but the steps are wrong. You need to do the second part first or it all falls apart.

my roommate tried this exact thing last month and it was a disaster. she was trying to fix her sink and followed the steps in the wrong order. ended up with water everywhere and had to call a plumber anyway. the whole "do the second part first" thing is real. she learned the hard way that the order actually matters a ton.
