Serious question, is the Milky Way core shot from Joshua Tree getting overdone?

My aunt in Boise said our secret ingredient was just a marketing trick from 1972.

Bought a cheap star tracker and it ruined a whole night of shooting the Orion Nebula

I was at the Tim Hortons in Banff and saw a rider's bike with a full set of heated gear plugged into a custom battery pack.

Why does nobody talk about using a zip tie to fish a line through a tight drop?

Rant: My avocado habit clashes with my climate worries

Nah, @schmidt.rose, life's too short for avocado guilt.

Warning: people keep calling my old X-Men #94 a reprint because the cover looks too clean.

Yeah, the printing tech back then just didn't do those super saturated inks. My old copy of The Hobbit from that era is all faded greens and browns.

Spent 45 minutes trying to make a cheap lentil soup taste less bland

Used to rush onions, now I caramelize them forever.

Remember that scene in "Gone Girl" where she's framing her husband? Our club spent a whole meeting arguing if she was a genius or just a total psycho, and it got so bad the host banned crime novels for six months.

Spent a full weekend trying to get a clear shot of the Orion Nebula

Used to hate drift alignment with a passion, thought it was just busywork for people with too much time. Then I had a string of bad nights where nothing else worked, gave it a real shot, and now it's my go-to method. The patience part is real though, my first few tries were rough. Once you get the hang of it, the results are just so much better.
