Just realized my old way of planning the week was making me crazy
For years, I used to write a giant master list of everything I needed to do on a single sheet of paper. It was a mess of chores, appointments, and random tasks all mixed together. I'd get so stressed looking at it, and half the stuff never got done. About six months ago, my sister told me, 'You're trying to drink from a fire hose, just split it up.' So I bought a cheap weekly planner from the drugstore. Now, I only write down the three most important things for each day, and I keep a separate running list for 'maybe later' stuff. It sounds simple, but seeing just those three items makes it feel possible, and I actually finish them. Has anyone else found a simple trick that cut down their daily stress?

That "drink from a fire hose" line is so real. I used to do the same thing with my email inbox, trying to answer everything the second it came in. My brain would just short-circuit. Now I only check it three set times a day, and I don't even have notifications on my phone. It's like putting up a tiny fence so the flood doesn't sweep you away. The world hasn't ended yet, and I feel way less twitchy.

Master lists are the worst. My brain just shuts down looking at all that. The three thing limit sounds like a good way to trick yourself into getting stuff done.
