My kitchen faucet handle snapped clean off this morning
I was just trying to turn on the cold water to fill the coffee pot and the whole plastic handle broke in my hand. It happened around 7 AM, so I had to use a pair of pliers to get any water at all. Has anyone else had to replace a Moen faucet cartridge in a hurry and found a good video guide?

My plumber mentioned Moen cartridges are actually pretty standard. He said the hardest part is getting the old one out if it's stuck from mineral buildup. There's a tool you can buy that makes removal much easier, but a pair of channel locks might work in a pinch. I saw a clear video on a site called Repair Clinic that walked through the whole process step by step.

My Moen 1225 cartridge was so stuck last year I thought I'd have to cut the pipe. I soaked it in white vinegar overnight and still needed that special puller tool from the hardware store. The Repair Clinic video is solid, but they make it look too easy when the thing is fused in there. Once you get the old one out, the new one pops right in and the faucet works like new.
