Just hit 100 hours of pro bono work this year and it made me think
I started tracking my volunteer legal hours back in January, mostly for my own records. I was helping at a local clinic in Springfield, and it just added up faster than I expected (you know, a few hours here and there). It hit me that a lot of people's first real legal help comes from places like that, not from hiring a lawyer. It's a different world from when I first started out, where everything felt more formal and expensive. Has anyone else had a moment like this, where the numbers showed you something you didn't see coming?

Wow, that's a huge number! I started tracking mine too and was shocked how fast it added up. Makes you see the real impact, right?

Wait, 100 hours already? That's crazy. How do you even find the time for that much pro bono work on top of your regular job? I get what @gonzalez.wesley is saying about it adding up, but that number is just wild to me. It really shows how much need is out there if you can log that many hours by spring. Makes the whole system feel pretty broken, honestly.
