Update: Just wrapped up a patio door replacement that felt like forever
Seriously, this job dragged on for weeks because the custom tempered glass kept getting delayed. The homeowner wanted these specific frosted panels for privacy, and the supplier kept pushing back the date. I was calling them every other day, getting the same 'next week' promise. Finally got the glass last Tuesday, but then we had to wait for a clear day to install because of rain. Spent all yesterday fitting it perfectly, making sure the seals were tight and the hinges worked smooth. The look on their face when it was done made all the waiting worth it. Tbh, I'm just relieved to have it off my plate and move on to the next thing. Anyone else have projects that just test your patience like this?

Dealing with supplier delays is the worst part of any job. It's like they have no clue how their promises mess up your schedule. Waiting for good weather on top of that just adds to the frustration. But nailing the install and seeing that client smile? Totally worth the headache. Now you get to do it all over again with the next project.

My own delays are the real MVP.
