I always thought my old apartment in Columbus had a weird echo, but I was wrong
For years, I was sure the bathroom door in my old place would creak when opened slowly, but slam if you pushed it fast. I told my friend about this 'glitch' just last week. He came over, tried it himself, and pointed out the loose hinge pin I'd never noticed. After I fixed that, the door worked normally every single time. It wasn't a strange reality skip, just a simple mechanical fault I'd built a story around. Has anyone else had a 'glitch' that turned out to be a mundane fix like that?

Man, that feeling is so familiar. It's wild how our brains can build up these whole stories around a simple broken thing. Had a lamp that would only turn on if you jiggled the cord just right, convinced it had a ghost or something. Turns out the plug was just loose in the wall outlet. Felt pretty silly after that.

Totally get that. My old car radio would only play static unless you smacked the dashboard, had me thinking it was haunted too.
