Just realized the number of stairs in my apartment building changed overnight
I've lived here in Chicago for three years and always counted 13 steps from my floor to the lobby, but this morning there were only 12. I checked the building plans online from the city records and it still says 13. Has anyone else had a solid fact just shift like that?

Check the landing between floors, sometimes it blends in.

Oh, that's a great tip! What exactly are we looking for on the landing, like a specific texture or a slightly different color in the stone? I always just run past that spot.

Nah I dunno man, I feel like if it was really that sneaky they woulda hid it better. That landing's probably just the same crap as everywhere else, people overthink this stuff.
