Serious question, has anyone else had a hardware store aisle completely rearrange itself overnight?

I went to the same Home Depot in Burbank on a Tuesday for a specific 3/8-inch brass coupling, and the entire plumbing section had shifted three aisles over by Wednesday morning with no signage. How does a place that big manage a full reset without anyone noticing?

Wait, do they do it on purpose to make you walk past more stuff? I bet some manager gets a bonus based on how many extra screws and light bulbs we grab when we're lost. Feels like the whole store is a puzzle where the prize is just finding the exit.

Nah, they don't get a bonus for that. It's just inventory night. The night crew moves fast and the signs never get updated.

I mean, maybe it's just me but I actually like when they move stuff. It forces me to look at new things I might need later. The night crew is probably just trying to make room for new stock or fix a bad layout. It's annoying in the moment, but it's not some evil plan. They're just trying to do their job.
