Vent: The gas station on Maple Street changed overnight and nobody else remembers the old one
I stopped at the same gas station I've used for years, but the whole layout was different. The pumps were in new spots and the store sold different brands. When I asked the clerk, he said it had always been that way, and my friend who lives nearby agreed. Has anyone else had a place they know well just flip like that?

My own memory's about as reliable as my truck's odometer.

Man that reminds me of my old truck's odometer getting stuck at 222,222 miles. I kept driving it for like two years after that, so I have no clue how far it actually went. Felt like I was driving on pure hope and guesses about oil changes lol. Makes you wonder how much of life we're just guessing at because our gauges are broken, you know?

Most of us are just running on broken gauges and hoping for the best. We guess at how much gas we need, how many miles we've got left, and how much time we've really spent on something. It's a wonder we ever make it anywhere.
