Just ran my first full shift on the new excavator joysticks instead of the old levers. Took me about 3 weeks to stop feeling clumsy.

Yeah that direct feel from levers is hard to beat.

Honestly, three weeks to stop feeling clumsy on joysticks sounds about right. Tbh I made the switch years ago and it took me a solid month to get my speed back. The levers just give you that direct feel you can't get from a joystick setup. Ngl I still miss the old controls sometimes.

Reminds me of when I tried to teach my dad to use a joystick, @aaron845. He kept trying to lift it like a gear shift. Never did get the hang of it.
