A quiet island trip completely changed my mind about where to take photos
I used to only shoot in big, popular cities for my photography hobby. Then I visited a small island that hardly anyone talks about. The peace and raw beauty there let me capture moments I never could in crowded places. Now I look for similar hidden spots for all my photo projects. It made my creative work much more meaningful.

Turns out my city photos were less art and more visual spam. @valw69 is right about chaos, because my old shots just look like I was trying to hide bad framing with crowds. Quiet places force you to actually see the shot, which is way more satisfying.

Empty spaces teach you what to keep.

Kinda had the same thing happen with forest paths. All my city photos just felt too chaotic after that.
