Some of those stories were straight up wild. They found a lady who thought she was related to a president, but it was a horse thief instead.

Heard a story on the radio about a man who swore his grandpa was a decorated war hero. Turns out the old man was a cook who never left the state. These family tales get polished over the years until the truth is gone. It makes you wonder what stories we are all carrying around that are just plain wrong. I guess everyone wants a more interesting past.
