Vent: My gravy turned into glue during Thanksgiving

I used my grandma's trick but added way too much flour. Now I have a pot of brown paste that could fix a broken tile! How do you thin out a sauce without ruining the flavor?

Brown paste is the worst... try whisking in warm broth a little at a time until it loosens up.

Ugh, brown paste is the worst; my gravy once glued a lid shut.

Honestly, @the_iris, at least your lid stayed on. My gravy could have patched the drywall.
