Our band's cassette flew off the shelves in a week

We dropped a tape with our new songs. There were only 100 copies. They all got bought after two concerts. This tells me people still value physical stuff. Streaming is handy, but holding a tape feels more real. It's a small win that boosts our spirit. Have you seen other indie acts succeed with tapes?

Wait, only two shows to sell all of them? That's crazy fast. @baker.ruby is onto something, those little flaws really do make it feel special.

Ever notice how tapes have that warm hiss digital stuff just can't copy? I mean, you lose some clarity but it feels like its own thing.

It's like how old books have that soft paper smell or vinyl has tiny pops between songs. Those little flaws make stuff feel real, like it has a history. We're surrounded by perfect digital copies now, but the worn-out bits are what give things character. Your tape example nails that feeling perfectly!
