inMy buddy's reaction to seeing my hand-cut dovetails for the first time was PRICELESS.
Man, that reminds me of the first jewelry box I tried. I was so proud of it until my dad, who's been a carpenter forever, picked it up and just went quiet. He finally pointed at the dovetails and said the gaps were so big you could lose a dime in them. That was the moment I realized neatness mattered way more than just getting the joints to fit, even if it was just a wonky little pine box.

inNearly flooded a client's yard by aerating over hidden sprinkler lines.
On a project in Austin last year, a guy hit a sprinkler line and flooded the whole basement. Water was everywhere for hours, ruining drywall and flooring. Joseph is right, calling 811 is a no-brainer. Skipping it is pure laziness and can cost thousands in repairs.
