inPro tip: measure the opening, not the old glass
My last window quote was off by a solid three inches.

inI finally hiked the full trail at Eagle Rock and saw the weirdest sign
Wait, you think that sign is weird? I read a whole park ranger blog post about how squirrels in tourist spots are basically tiny criminals. They learn that backpacks mean food, and they will chew through fabric to get it. That sign is probably there because someone got their lunch stolen and complained.

inOverheard a couple arguing about the best way to plan a 3-day loop in the Sawtooths
That "very slanted campsite" is the exact reason I bring a small trowel. Sometimes you have to make your own flat spot, and it's never as good as finding a real one. I've spent a night sliding into the tent wall.

inMy aunt's secret ingredient for chili is cinnamon, and it's not for me.
Ever think a little cinnamon in chili was a smart move? I used to toss in a pinch, thinking it added something special. Then I had a batch where someone went overboard with it. The whole thing tasted like dessert had a fight with savory and lost. Now I totally get how a tablespoon could wreck a family dinner. Lesson learned: less is more with spices like that.

inI finally think masking tape is a waste for most painting jobs.
Oh man, @annas33, I feel that so much. My first tries looked like a toddler got hold of the brush. The shakiness is real, just like the_james said. It honestly took a solid year of doing little practice lines every single day before I stopped cringing at my own work. What finally helped me was just relaxing my grip and breathing out slowly while making the stroke. How about you, do you paint or draw much at all?
