Can we talk about that moment you realize a review site is totally off?
I mean, I was checking out this agency's page on a big review platform last month, and all the 5-star feedback felt weirdly similar, like copy-pasted. I dug into a few profiles and noticed a bunch were brand new accounts with only that one review. It just clicked that maybe the whole rating was kinda fake. Has anyone else caught something like that and actually found a better place to get real opinions?

What specific things tipped you off first, like the same phrases or weird timing on all the posts? I saw a contractor with ten reviews all posted the same Tuesday, calling him a "visionary craftsman," which just felt off.

Yeah, "visionary craftsman" is such a weird, fancy thing to say over and over. I used to just glance at star ratings and call it good, but @the_shane is right, the timing thing is a huge red flag. Seeing a bunch of reviews pop up on the same day, especially for a local service, just doesn't happen in real life. It made me start reading the actual words people use, and now the fake ones stick out so bad.

Wait ten reviews all posted on the same Tuesday? That's so wild it's almost funny. It's like they didn't even try to make it look real. Once you see that pattern you can't unsee it, and it ruins your trust in the whole site. I've started looking for reviews that mention small, specific problems that got fixed, that feels way more honest.
