The Bleach filler list blew my mind last night

I was rewatching Bleach and wanted to skip the filler arcs for once, so I googled a list online. Turns out almost half the episodes are filler, like 45% or something crazy. I always thought it was just the Bount arc and a few others, but there are like 164 filler episodes total. Has anyone else found a stat like that that totally changed how you watch a show?

Yeah, this one REALLY got to me too actually. I used to just watch Bleach all the way through and never questioned which episodes were filler or not. But after seeing that number, like 164 episodes is basically a whole season of a different show, it totally changed my mind about rewatching it. Now I actually check lists before starting any long anime because I don't want to waste time on stuff that doesn't matter to the main story. It's crazy how much filler can sneak up on you if you're not paying attention.

It's wild how that one fact can totally flip your whole approach to rewatching a show. Makes you wonder how many hours people have sunk into arcs that the creators themselves didn't even think mattered.
