Pro tip: Dealing with parts that just won't line up right
In my experience, some aftermarket pieces need so much tweaking it's not worth the supposed savings. Take that with a grain of salt, but it's a real headache most days.

Oh it happens, my last cheap bracket stripped its threads on the first turn.

Man, I used to swear by aftermarket stuff to save a buck. Then I spent a whole weekend just trying to get a simple bracket to sit flush, and the fit was so bad I had to redrill everything. Now I just pay for the real part to avoid that hassle.
