My sourdough starter finally got its groove back after a weird Portland rainstorm

I left it on the counter overnight and the sudden humidity spike from the storm made it bubble like crazy for the first time in months. It was so active I had to bake two extra loaves just to use it all up. Has anyone else noticed their starter act totally different with big weather changes?

Does the temperature of the water you use to feed it matter more in weather like that? Like, if the rain cooled everything down, maybe the tap water temp changed and kicked off the fermentation differently.

Weird. Did you try feeding it less during the storm, or was it just the ambient humidity that kicked it into gear?
