inI spent $150 on a professional organizer for my home office and it was the best money I've ever spent.
My desk is a monument to chaos, honestly. I once lost a coffee mug for three days under a pile of mail and old notes. The article might be right, but my own mess feels like a lost cause.

inI thought asking 'dumb' questions was a bad move at work
Asking a simple question once stopped me from sending a report with wrong data.

inSo I dropped $400 on a fancy fabric cutting machine and it's a total paperweight
Did you even read the manual or watch any setup videos? Those machines need to be calibrated perfectly for different fabric types and blade depths. A rotary cutter is simple because it's dumb, but a power tool requires you to actually learn how to use it. It sounds like you just plugged it in and expected magic without doing the basic work to understand the settings.

inMy neighbor told me to talk to my fiddle leaf fig and now it's huge
I mean, the extra carbon dioxide thing makes sense, but I was just telling my plant about my boring job. Maybe it grew out of pity, idk.

inMy friend told me to stop using pure black in my digital paintings
Yeah, it's a game changer, right? I started doing the same thing with pure white. A tiny bit of warm yellow or cool blue in your highlights makes light feel way more real. It stops things from looking like a blank screen. Suddenly your light sources have a temperature and a mood.
