Why nobody talks about how some clients just want to waste your time on purpose

Had a guy last month in Austin who sat in my chair for 45 minutes asking for a fade, then told me he'd only pay $15 because he 'just wanted a trim' and walked out before I could finish the left side, has anyone else dealt with people who book a full service then try to haggle you down at the chair?

HOLD UP, $15 for a fade?! That's wild, I can't believe he actually did that! Like you put in almost an hour of work and he just dips with a half-finished haircut? That's not just haggling, that's straight up disrespectful. I've seen stories like this before, people book a whole thing and then try to pull some switch at the last second. Makes you wonder how they sleep at night honestly. You handled that way better than I would have, I would have probably locked the door and called him out.

Honestly, did he even give a reason for pulling that stunt, or was he just testing to see if you'd fold? Tbh, something feels off when someone books a service and then tries to change the price mid-cut like that. Ngl, I'm curious if he had a history of pulling this kind of stuff or if this was a random move.
